UPX Universal Transmitter Wallplates

The new Enova UPX Transmitter Wallplates offer unmatched flexibility and convenience in providing classroom, board room and conference room visitors a simplified option for plugging in their A/V sources and routing audio, video and, control signals to an Enova DVX Environment Controller or AVX Presentation Switcher located up to 50 meters (150 feet away) - all via cost-effective Cat5/5e/6.

Supports the Most Popular Device Connection Needs
The UPX Transmitter Wallplates are available in a variety of formats to support the most popular A/V connection needs of room visitors including VGA input (RGBHV) to support laptops, Component video to support DVD players and Composite video to support document cameras. In addition, all wallplates include stereo audio inputs.

Each UPX also features an active button to activate that wallplate allowing toggling between input sources throughout the room. And each wallplate is powered by the Enova DVX or AVX connected at the other end so no local power supply is needed.

Epica DGX 32 Fiber Matrix Switcher

Imagine sending pure high resolution video to 32 LCD screens – at distances up to 6,000 feet! AMX introduces our new Epica DGX 32 mid-size fiber-based matrix switching system. Smaller in size than our already award-winning Epica DG, it is designed for use with single, multimode fiber cable – an easy to use, commonly available transport medium.

This is the perfect solution for digital signage, campus environments, commandand- control, or anywhere the complex issues of distance, security and perfect video all need to be met without compromise.

And, partnered with our new DGX Fiber Transmitters and Receivers the system can also pass audio and control – which is easily passed through the matrix switcher to the Receivers; and the DGX Fiber Receivers (both HD-15 and DVI) feature SmartScale™ technology automatically responding to the display’s declared EDID information and scaling the video resolution and adjusting the video parameters for that display – so your system becomes a matrix switching / scaling / transcoding / system. Epica DGX 144 Fiber Matrix Switcher

Start with our compact 16 RU enclosure and select between DGX Fiber input boards, DGX Fiber output boards, local DVI input boards, local HD-15 input boards, and local HD-SDI input boards. The system converts, switches and transports any input to any DGX Fiber output regardless of signal style. The result is a system perfectly customized to meet the needs of any project.

And, just like the smaller Epica DGX 32, when the Epica DGX 144 is used in conjunction with the DGX Fiber Transmitter and Receivers the system provides transport for one-way device control and digital and/or analog audio as well as SmartScale™ at the point of each Receiver.

3 commonly used scheduling system interfaces have just been added, which include People Cube's Resource Scheduler, Dean Evans & Associates' EMS and CollegeNet's R25. These are in addition to the 4 existing scheduling interfaces (MS Exchange/Outlook, Lotus Domino, Novell GroupWise and Planon Integrated Workspace Management).

Scheduling a room and configuring the room's equipment from MS Outlook is now a single step process. This can be done by loading software once on a server rather than loading a special client on each user's PC – as most competitors require.

NXV-300 Modero Virtual Touch Panel

The Modero NXV-300 is an ideal solution when you need the intelligence and ease of use that only a touch panel can offer but from remote locations - the back of the room, across the campus or anywhere over the Internet.

Typical applications include:

  • Enhanced Help Desk Support - Businesses and schools with widespread rooms and campuses can benefit from the convenience of remote help desk support to troubleshoot and train end users.
  • Cost Effective Secondary Control - During a presentation, worship service, music performance or other occasion, technical staff can easily provide support or take control from the back of the room should the presenter need it.
  • Convenient Back Up Tool – If a touch panel or keypad is inaccessible or offline, the NXV-300 can provide a back-up tool for technicians to access and diagnose the system.
  • Simplified Room Control - In some very simple rooms where a touch panel is not practical, it could be used to provide room control from a PC/Mac.

This small rack-mountable device (similar in size to an NI-700 NetLinx Controller) allows users to access their system via any PC or Mac via Virtual Network Connection (VNC). Users simply navigate to the device using a browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari for PCs and Firefox and Safari for Macs) and login with a username/password.

Except for viewing the device in a browser window and interacting with a mouse, everything looks and works exactly the same as using any Modero Touch Panel. And the NXV-300 is easily configured for viewing. It is viewable in two resolutions, 800x480 and 480x272, which allows the use of many existing touch panel page files.

VisualArchitect Touch Panel Templates

A new world of color, style and function awaits AMX integrators with the visually rich and distinctive touch panel designs provided by the new Visual Architect template. The new template includes three new textured background colors - Granite, Slate and Wood or a non-textured, chameleon-style that allows the designer to choose from 24 color palettes or custom colors.

These backgrounds span the top and left sides of the screen and allow designers to select a color, and/or texture that best matches the style and environment of the installation location. The new template also includes a unique angled navigation bar.

NXB-KNX KNX Communication Gateway

Now Enables AMX NetLinx Control Of KNX Devices
The NetLinx NXB-KNX interface now has the capability to allow AMX NetLinx Integrated Controllers the ability to seamlessly control, integrate and communicate with devices that utilize the KNX communication protocol.

  • Enables AMX control of KNX devices by acting as a gateway between the two protocols and translating NetLinx commands to the KNX protocol
  • Simplifies programming and diagnostics using standard NetLinx commands
  • Can be used as a replacement for other gateways allowing integrators to add the KNX Communications Gateway without writing new code

KNX is the world’s first open, royalty-free, and platform independent standard for home and commercial building control.
