New Residential Builders Program
Offers Builders More Prestige, More Performance and More Profitability

Introducing the AMX Residential Builders Program, designed to support residential builders and system integrators in increasing revenue while making control and automation systems affordable for homeowners.

The program was introduced at CEDIA 2006 and is led by Chris Westfall, Director of Business Development, “Following successful initial trial launches in Chicago and other areas, AMX’s Residential Builders Program is already creating new market opportunities for AMX dealers.” 

The program is now available to AMX Dealers nationwide. It provides builders with an easy way to differentiate their properties and increase their profit – while AMX dealers lock in multiple, high-income customers for integration and upgrades.

How Does The Program Work?
The program gives semi-custom and speculative home builders the flexibility to work with the AMX authorized dealer of their choice. Discount incentives are provided for demo equipment, as well as the standard AMX equipment specified for the new homes.Together, the builder and dealer select the AMX control technology that best meets the needs and price point of their market and target demographic.   

Westfall explains, “Typical packages can start at $10-15,000 installed, which is a relatively small portion of the overall cost of a $1million residence. Integrators are designing basic packages consisting of a Touch Panel, several Mio Modero Keypads, a NI-700 controller and connectivity to lights, HVAC, security and audio systems.  It’s relatively simple to deliver a basic, best-of-breed package for about the cost of a high-end Sub-Zero refrigerator, for example.” 

Westfall continues, “However, that refrigerator doesn’t offer any potential upgrade business like AMX does. And now, VisualArchitect makes it easier than ever to build and expand on that base system.”

AMX is committed to the success of this program and is offering exclusive support to interested dealers. This includes road shows, web seminars and in-person, phone and email support. The AMX Sales Team can answer questions and assist dealers in getting their Builder’s Program up and running.
