HomeManager is the latest RMS software for single-family residences and multi-dwelling units (MDUs) that creates significant benefits for both AMX dealers and homeowners.
The Details You Need To Know
- Sold through AMX to dealers to end-users via a one-time software license. Dealers choose how they want to charge end-users for the license.
- Software is physically installed on a host server, typically located on the dealer’s premises or a third-party Web server, giving the dealer master control of each HomeManager service.
- Once the service is installed and active, the end-user will access their account online. The dealer will also have master access to the account for any maintenance or upgrades.
Dealer Benefits
- Revenue Generation Flexibility - Dealers choose the way they want to sell the software such as including it with the system, as an a-la-carte add-on or ongoing service contract – it’s truly the dealer’s choice.
- Simple, One-Time Licensing Fees – To sell HomeManager, dealers simply purchase a one-time, server license giving them the ability to service up to 300 installations.
- Proactive Customer Service – HomeManager can immediately notify the dealer of equipment failures or upcoming system maintenance. Dealers are able to quickly diagnose and fix problems without having to disrupt the homeowner.
- Instant 24x7 Help Desk - End users can ask questions or request service through their dealer anytime through HomeManager and the dealer can be instantly notified by Web, email, page, or text message to assist with the issue.
- Service From Virtually Anywhere – Using a Web-based system, depending on the issue, dealers may no longer have to go to the user’s residence for troubleshooting.

Homeowner Benefits
- Remote System Monitoring and Access – Using the online, PC-based interface, end-users can access their system and make real-time adjustments from just about anywhere with an Internet connection.
- System and Security Notifications – Automatic notifications via email, page or text message notify users when service is necessary or when devices malfunction, become unplugged or are offline.
- Scheduling Routine Events – Devices and device macros such as lighting, sprinkler systems, window treatments and security can be scheduled as one-time or daily, weekly or monthly events.
- Scheduling Calendar Events – Events requiring system devices or event macros can easily be scheduled using the calendar. Just pick the date, the time and the device or macro and HomeManager does the rest.
- Messaging – Residents can leave messages for others and schedule group events on one master calendar that can be accessed and updated by multiple users.
- Single, Central Web Interface – An unlimited number of homes and system devices can be controlled through a single Web interface - no matter where the homes are located.
